Correctional Queens FC delivered a commanding display in Masvingo on Matchday Three of the Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League, thumping Rufaro Starlets Academy 4-0 away from home.
The visitors wasted no time in stamping their authority on the match, with Berita Kabwe opening the scoring in the 12th minute after calmly slotting home to hand the Queens an early lead.
Correctional Queens kept pressing high and were rewarded again in the 29th minute when Kudzai “Kudzie” Chipausha doubled the advantage with a clinical finish.
Vanessa Makoni added a third two minutes later as the Queens tore through the Rufaro Starlets defence with a sharp attacking display before the break.
Sikhulekile “Sku” Nyoni completed the rout in the 41st minute to crown a dominant first-half performance from the visitors.
Despite the emphatic win, the Correctional Queens technical bench felt the side could have scored more after creating several chances in both halves.
Head coach Tsitsi Shiri praised the team’s attacking approach and control of the match, although she admitted more goals could have come from the opportunities created.
