“This sustained growth underscores the strategic importance of the North American market and reinforces the significance of Zimbabwe’s participation in the Africa’s Eden Roadshow, which commenced in Atlanta as part of a targeted Tourism engagement campaign across six cities in the United States and two in Canada.”
ZTA Chief Executive Officer, George Manyaya who represented the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon Barbara Rwodzi, reaffirmed Government’s commitment to Sustainable Tourism development, enhanced Destination accessibility, Tourism Investment and strengthened Public-Private partnerships under the Experience Zimbabwe destination brand. “Beyond the iconic Victoria Falls, Hwange and Mana Pools, advisors sought fresh itineraries featuring the Eastern Highlands, Great Zimbabwe, Matobo, and Gonarezhou, reflecting growing demand for authentic, immersive and less-explored experiences. Tri Sij Travel also confirmed its readiness to begin selling Zimbabwe, signalling expanding commercial opportunities for the destination.
“The programme concluded with commitments to destination training, stronger collaboration between American travel advisors and Zimbabwean Destination Management Companies (DMCs), as well as invitations to participate in the forthcoming Sanganai/Hlanganani Dzimbahwe World Tourism Expo in Masvingo, laying a solid foundation for increased visitor arrivals, enhanced destination visibility and long-term tourism growth from Zimbabwe’s number one overseas source market.”
