Mhondoro Mubaira Constituency legislator, Hon Chamu Chiwanza is scaling up developmental projects in line with government’s vision 2030 initiative.
Recently the energetic legislator purchased cement to complete the whole classroom block at St Catherine Chimatira, a gesture that will go a long way in improving education standards at the learning institution.
In an interview with The Blast, Hon Chiwanza said:
“We have been give until 2030 to fulfill our development mandates, so we are going hard and aggressive to ensure we finish projects, including those left by other previous legislators and the cement donation is one of those projects.
“I have used my own resources on Chimatira school construction cement donation…Constituency Development Fund came and didn’t do much.I am building a Mothers Shelter at Neuso business center, I am constructing a clinic at Manyewe, Chinove”.
“In Ward 5 at Rwizi Business Centre we also want to start constructing a hall and we have already provided all the resources for the project.
These projects are a few of the initiatives that we have done .
We are also going to provide 60 percent of our schools with Star Link Wifi in the Constituency.”.
At Chimatira, Hon Chiwanza purchased door frames, window frames constructed the whole classroom roof and provided cement to complete construction project.
He engaged his company staff to provide labour for the initiative.
Hon Chiwanza added that he is embarking on construction of Police bases in Mhondoro Mubaira Constituency.
“I will be building Zimbabwe Republic Police bases shelters all over the Constituency.
At Dzumbunu we have already started we have already started construction…the base is waiting completion and we will complete very soon.In Ward 15 the construction process is almost complete, we are building accommodation for the police officers.
The one that has not been constructed is at Chingwere which we intend to start construction this year.
“We are also going ahead with road rehabilitation, already in ward 4 (under councillor Christopher Mudimu) we have already started the programme which will cascade into other parts of the Constituency,” he said.
The community in the Constituency have hailed Hon Chamu Chiwanza’s developmental projects which they say are uplifting and empowering the community.
