Permanent Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Dr Shingirayi Mushamba, has made his first official visit to Chitungwiza Municipality since his appointment to familiarise himself with the local authority’s management team and operations.
During the visit,last week, Dr Mushamba reaffirmed Government’s commitment to supporting Chitungwiza Municipality in its efforts to improve service delivery for residents.
“Chitungwiza is at the heart of Harare Metropolitan Province. There are key issues that we need to collectively address, and it is important for us to understand management’s thinking and strategies on these matters,” said Dr Mushamba.
He highlighted several priority areas requiring attention, including strengthening service delivery capacity and promoting innovation in service delivery.
Acting Town Clerk Mr Japson Nemuseso welcomed the Permanent Secretary’s visit and assured him that council remains committed to addressing the issues raised and improving service delivery across the municipality.
