Harare – Award-winning Zimbabwean musician Feli Nandi is set to make history on 14 August 2026 when she stages her first-ever live recording concert at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC). Organisers are describing it as one of the biggest local music events of the year.
Dubbed “A Night with Feli Nandi Vol. 9 – Fill Up HICC,” the concert will bring together thousands of music lovers for a live recording featuring world-class production, vibrant choreography and performances celebrating the singer’s growing catalogue of Afro-soul and Afro-fusion music.
Organised by Gateway Stream Media, a subsidiary of Rainbow Tourism Group, the event is expected to mark another milestone in Zimbabwe’s entertainment industry while showcasing the country’s creative talent on a grand stage.
Gateway Stream Media Manager Elton Kurima said the concert represents a significant achievement for both Feli Nandi and the local creative sector.
“We are bringing a massive, high-calibre production to the stage that truly honours Feli’s journey. This is going to be an unforgettable night for music lovers, and we are ready to welcome thousands of fans to be part of local entertainment history,” said Kurima.
He said organisers had invested heavily in the technical aspects of the show to ensure fans enjoy an immersive entertainment experience.
“Fans today don’t just want to watch a performance; they want an immersive experience where every detail, from the sound engineering to the visual storytelling on stage, is flawless. We have raised the bar on the technical side to match the raw energy of the music. Fans are going to witness a night where local talent meets top-notch execution,” he said.
To encourage greater attendance, organisers have introduced several ticket promotions ahead of the event. In partnership with MWOS FC, selected purchases at participating MWOS outlets will allow fans to buy concert tickets for US$8, while students can attend for US$5 upon presentation of a valid student identification card at designated outlets.
Standard tickets are priced at US$10, with VIP tickets selling for US$30.
Ahead of the landmark concert, Feli Nandi has embarked on a nationwide promotional tour that has taken her to Kwekwe, Chegutu, Marondera, Gweru, Mutare, Masvingo and Kadoma as she builds momentum towards the HICC showcase.
Known for her powerful vocals and emotionally rich performances, Feli Nandi has become one of Zimbabwe’s leading female musicians since launching her solo career after working as a backing vocalist with Mhodzi Tribe.
She rose to prominence through the hit song “Mufudzi WeMombe” and has since produced popular tracks including “Munhu Wangu,” “Unotyei,” “Ndoona Iwe,” and “Muranda.”
Her success has earned her several prestigious accolades, including the Outstanding Female Musician of the Year and People’s Choice Award at the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) in 2024, as well as Best Female Artist and Best Alternative Artist at the Zimbabwe Music Awards in 2023.
Beyond music, the singer is also a fashion entrepreneur and founder of Feli Nandi Apparel, reflecting her growing influence in Zimbabwe’s creative industry.
