President Emmerson Mnangagwa has waxed lyrical about the hosting of the strategic seminar for politburo meeting at Heritage Village,Museum of African Liberation.
The Zanu PF leader was speaking at the opening of the event which will run from Wednesday to Thursday when he hailed the place for embodying the values of the national struggle.
“I commend the Party for holding this seminar here, at the Museum of African Liberation. The Museum of African Liberation. The Museum embodies the values that gave birth to ZANU PF and stands as a reminder of the sacrifices, struggles, solidarity and shared resolve that secured our independence, freedom, sovereignty, democracy and territorial integrity.
It is, therefore, a befitting setting for the executive structure of the Party to gather, as we re-commit ourselves to the sacred mandate, bestowed on us by our party constitution,” President Mnangagwa said.
INSTAK operates Heritage Village in Harare as part of Liberation City, which incorporates the Museum of African Liberation and other attractions.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of African Knowledge (INSTAK), Ambassador Kwame Muzawazi, said MICE(Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) was a key contributor to national economic growth
“Designed to showcase African aesthetics, Heritage Village brings together culture, cuisine, education and recreation in one vibrant space. Here, heritage is not confined to exhibitions or bookshelves; it is lived and shared through architecture, food, storytelling and interaction. The result is an authentic traditional and Afropolitan experience that resonates with local patrons and international visitors alike,” Ambassador Muzawazi said.
The architecture sets the tone. Proudly African in form and finish, the structures draw inspiration from traditional design while seamlessly incorporating contemporary comforts. This balance between the traditional and the modern gives Heritage Village a versatility that few venues can match
In positioning culture as a national asset, Heritage Village exemplifies how Zimbabwe can leverage identity to drive tourism growth.
