Harare — The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development has embarked on a two-day Website Content Validation Workshop aimed at improving the accuracy and accessibility of information available to the public on its online platforms.
The workshop, being held at the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Administration and Management (ZIPAM), is being led by the Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mrs Maybe Zengeni.
It brings together the Ministry’s ICT Department and the Communications and Advocacy Department to review and validate the content currently published on the Ministry’s website.
The initiative seeks to ensure that all information posted online is accurate, up to date, relevant and easily accessible to citizens and other stakeholders.
Officials said the exercise is part of a broader push to strengthen the Ministry’s digital communication, enhance public access to information and improve stakeholder engagement through its digital platforms.
By combining ICT expertise with strategic communication and advocacy, the Ministry aims to ensure its website effectively communicates its policies, programmes and infrastructure development projects to the public.
The move is also expected to promote transparency, accountability and public awareness around the Ministry’s work in developing and maintaining the country’s transport infrastructure.
The workshop underscores the Ministry’s commitment to using digital tools to build a more open and citizen-focused public service, in line with the broader national drive towards #DigitalCommunication, #PublicEngagement and #TransparencyAndAccountability in service delivery.
