The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) has launched a Client Service Charter aimed at promoting transparency, accountability and efficient service delivery to its clients and stakeholders.
The launch was attended by various stakeholders, including community pharmacists and representatives of veterinary surgeons, who engaged with the Authority on its service commitments and standards.
According to MCAZ, the charter outlines the services offered by the Authority, the requirements for accessing them and the timelines within which clients can expect services to be delivered.
“The Charter outlines the Authority’s service commitments and timelines, helping clients and stakeholders understand the services offered, the requirements for accessing them and the standards they can expect,” MCAZ said.
The Authority said the launch also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to engage with relevant divisions, gain a better understanding of their service commitments and discuss ways of improving service delivery.
MCAZ emphasised that effective implementation of the charter would require collective responsibility, clear communication and a shared commitment to meeting established service standards.
“The effective implementation of the Charter requires collective responsibility, clear communication and a shared commitment to meeting established service standards,” the Authority said.
