ZB Financial Holdings has appointed Arthur Matsaudza as the new Chief Executive Officer of ZB Bank, effective October 1, 2026.
The appointment was announced by the bank’s Board of Directors in a statement issued on September 3.
Matsaudza is an accomplished banking and financial services executive with more than 17 years of experience spanning banking, fintech and telecommunications across African markets.
According to the Board, he brings a combination of executive leadership, commercial expertise and technology experience to the position.
His appointment comes as ZB Bank seeks to strengthen its position in digital banking and fintech while expanding beyond traditional banking services.
Prior to joining ZB Bank, Matsaudza served as Managing Director of O’mari, Old Mutual’s fintech business, which he founded within the financial services group.
He previously served as Old Mutual’s Group Executive for Digital and Data, where he was responsible for driving digital transformation across the group’s African markets.
Earlier in his career, Matsaudza held senior executive positions at Steward Bank, including Head of Digital Banking and Chief Technology Officer, where he played a key role in the bank’s digital transformation.
He also held leadership positions in the telecommunications sector, where he was involved in integrating mobile network operations, mobile money and banking capabilities to drive growth at scale.
Matsaudza holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST).
His appointment is expected to further strengthen ZB Bank’s digital transformation agenda and its drive to provide innovative financial services to customers.
