Mhondoro Mbaira – In a whirlwind of activity, Member of Parliament for Mhondoro Mubaira, Honorable Chamu Chiwanza, has been making waves in his constituency, touching lives and transforming the local landscape. His latest stop was Mukono Primary School, where he sponsored 36 athletes participating in the inter schools’ competition.

Chiwanza’s visit was more than just a sponsorship; it was a statement of intent. He pledged to donate Starlink internet kits and computers to schools, aiming to keep children engaged and away from the scourge of drug and substance abuse. “We need to equip our children with the tools of the future,” he said, emphasizing the importance of technology in modern education.

The National Schools Competition chairman, praised Chiwanza’s initiative, highlighting the impact it would have on the students. “This is a game-changer for our schools. We’re grateful for the MP’s vision and commitment,” he said.

But Chiwanza’s community work doesn’t stop at education. He’s currently spearheading a road rehabilitation project in Dombozi village, with the help of the local community. Mandaza local bus operator, Mr. Mandaza, donated empty bags to fill gravel, aiding the repair of the eroded road. “We’re happy to support our MP’s efforts. It’s about time our roads are fixed,” he said.

Village Head Dr. Douglas Murovei Gwatidzo echoed the sentiment, pledging to support Chiwanza’s development initiative. “We’ve seen the impact he’s had in our community. We’re behind him all the way,” he said.

Chiwanza’s popularity in Mhondoro Mbaira is undeniable. His alignment with President Emerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 and the mantra “Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo” (The country is built by its people) resonates with the constituency’s residents. His people-centric approach has earned him the trust of the community.

As one resident put it, “Honorable Chiwanza is the people’s MP. He’s got our backs, and we’re behind him.” With his tireless efforts, it’s clear that Chiwanza is turning the tide in Mhondoro Mubaira, one project at a time.

The MP’s vision for the constituency is clear: development, empowerment, and prosperity for all. And with the community rallying behind him, it’s a vision that’s fast becoming a reality.
