Seed Co Zimbabwe (PVT) Ltd on Tuesday, 5 May,2026 hosted its first-ever career guidance day attended by at least 200 company employees children in a bid to mould their career paths and expose them to work opportunities after school.

The day event was held at the company’s premises at Stapleford, Nyabira, a few kilometres of out Harare. The day was marked by various activities including tours of departmental stations which included human resources, finance,audit, ICT,marketing, procurement, farmhouse,research and agronomy,just to mention a few.

The day was also marked by a career mapping session including testimonials and introductions of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 85th anniversary tertiary beneficiaries education support, work study and school fees bursary support programmes.

The school children bursary support programme supports the primary and secondary school levels. Another session included a presentation of arts and crafts work by kids. Felistas Ndawi Gurajena, Seed Co Zimbabwe Managing Director urged the school children to exercise discipline, work hard,be honest and constitent inorder to succeed in their aspirations.

Seed Co Zimbabwe Public Relations and Agronomy Africa Manager said she believes that at least three quarters of the world’s work trades opportunities exist at Seed Co and she said the guidance day was meant to expose company’s employees children to work opportunities.

She said they plan to host the event yearly and embrace school children from other environments.
