Mhondoro Ngezi councillor for ward 11, Kurebwa Javangwe Nhomboka has embarked on a campaign to assist the under privileged children in the area with educational stationery material.
Nhomboka told The Blast that under the campaign, he is mobilising donations from the community.
“I have launched a Back to School stationery campaign where i am mobilising for stationery material for the under privileged children in ward 11 so that they are able to continue with their education without any challenges.It is my belief and conviction that education brings a bright future for the children,”said Nhomboka.
The goal of the campaign is  to source 10 000 exercise books, 72 page exercise books, one and two quires counter books and 1000 pens.
Those set to be assisted under this initiative are orpaned children, those who are under the Basic Educational Assistance Module (BEAM), and those from poor background who cannot afford educational materials.
