The Hybrid 24-Hour Clinic in Southlands, Harare, was on Saturday  officially opened to residents marking a significant milestone in the city’s healthcare landscape.

Cllr Womberaishe Nhende, representing the mayor, expressed his gratitude during the launch, emphasizing the importance of private healthcare in complementing public services.

“As we continue to develop and grow our city, I urge developers and investors to consider utilizing open spaces to build clinics and other essential infrastructures as noted in our Harare Masterplan.”

Speaking at the same event, Hybrid 24-hour clinc owner Dr Live Manyenga, said the clinic will provide various medical services, focusing on community based healthcare.

Dr Manyenga said he is grateful to council for the support in the opening of the clinic.

He said: “Your trust in my vision has been instrumental in bringing quality healthcare to the community.”

“Today, I stand here as a testament to what can be achieved through unity of purpose, and will power.”

He expressed his appreciation to the community for their support in the vision and recognizing the urgent need for community development.

Dr Manyenga added:”Thank you for believing in this vision, for your cooperation, and for recognising the urgent need for social infrastructure growth.

“We chose to build this facility not just as a clinic, but as a symbol of possibility, a clear message that when people are given a chance, they can transform communities and our bigger vision is to build a big hospital here in Southlands.”

The event was attended by Dr Manyenga’s wife , relatives and friends, Ward Cllr Everjoyce Kamusikiri, Cllr Lister Madede and Cllr Wendy Muzuva, Mavis Fusire representing the District Officer, Sister-in- charge Wishes Gutu representing Director of Health Services , town planning representatives, residents associations and residents.
