A letter written by Obert Masaraure, Secretary General of Federation of Zimbabwe Educators Union (FOZEU), revealed that the federation resolved to set up a three member commission,following alleged contradictory actions at Educators Union of Zimbabwe (EUZ) where the President, Secretary General and Treasurer were dismissed from their posts.EUZ is an affiliate of FOZEU.

“The leadership of the Federation of Zimbabwe Educators Unions, FOZEU, held a meeting to discuss reported contradictions in the Educators Union of
Zimbabwe, EUZ.
EUZ is the sitting President and an affiliate of the Federation.
” Unfortunately over the months numerous reports have been received by the Federation alleging some
internal contradictions within the affiliate Union.
The Federation resolved to set up a 3 member Truth Commission, constituted of members from the other 3 affiliates of the Federation, ARTUZ, PEUZ and ZVITU.
The FOZEU views EUZ is a critical pillar to the Federation and will do anything and everything to assist the EUZ to overcome the alleged internal contradictions.
The Federation will announce the members to the Commission and their terms of reference in the near future.”
The development follows a meeting on 29 August where the Educators Union of Zimbabwe (EUZ) , an affiliate of FOZEU resolved to dismiss Ms Tafadzwa Munodawafa from presidency following allegations of misconduct.
The meeting also resolved to terminate membership of Tapedza Zhou and relieved him from his post of Secretary General of EUZ.
Molly Banda and Thando Bhebe were appointed Acting President and Secretary General respectively until the forthcoming conference.
Tadeu Kaguda was dismissed from the post of Treasurer following allegations of financial misconduct.
