Nqobile Magwizi enters the ultimate litmus test laboratory – the Warriors, the football status, assembly werewithal, Exco quality, skills audit at Zifa and the battle for acceptance, with the fact sheet reading – POOR, The Page argues.

That the Zifa president is on course to failure is apparently evident as first vice president, Kenny Ndebele, Excos Thomas Marambanyika and Alice Zeure, have encircled him with debilitating effect.

Worse, his football knowledge and understanding is so negligible that the he consults everybody including Kapfupi.

It is something so sad about Zifa president that he over consults and ultimately gets bogged into the Ndebele and Marambanyika plots of seizure.

With reports that Marambanyika and Ndebele vetoes every suggestion from other members of the Exco, including decision on those who travels on trips like the ones to Morocco (friendlies) and Bloemfontein in South Africa for Cosafa tournament, it is the president that comes out as weak.

And Zifa, at the moment, reeling from lack of finances, do not need a weak president as Ndebele and Marambanyika are the kind of guys, that this Exco do not need.

They’re toxic, selfish and corporate bullies that renders other members useless. Already there’s enough evidence.

Magwizi as president, has no power to decide, but Marambanyika, a mole within the secretatiat, has told The Page, that he is the one deciding which member of assembly travels with the team.

“Prof (Marambanyika) is the one who has decided people travelling to Morocco next Wednesday to assess the country for the Afcon in December.

“This is despite that committees with specific duties like security, Afcon have made recommendations.

“In fact he has told the president, if any of these councillors are worrying you, as they are doing, with requests for trips, let them pay for themselves.

“These councillors think Zifa is a bank. They are failing to make money in their regions and provinces, but want Zifa to make money for them.

“These guys must disabuse themselves of such warped thinking, Marambanyika said in an Exco meeting held on Friday.

The fiest meeting, via Zoom was called for by president Magwizi, following a serious crisis that was stirred by Ndebele, who surreptitiously went behind the backs of the marketing committee, chaired by Kudzi Kadzombe, to stop a sponsorship secured.

The Page, alearted by Delta beverages executive, learnt that Kadzombe and her committee had secured some sponsorship for the Warriors towards Afcon.

But Ndebele, abusing good relationship with Delta, after years of PSL marriage, apparently said all Delta deals must come through him for vetting.

And Kadzombe was nonplussed with that and angrily approached Magwizi, who immediately called for a meeting to discuss that.

But Ndebele to his credit, apologized for his behaviour, but not before evidently showing that he has scant respect for the president and other members of the Exco.

The Page is in possession of the memo that was generated soon after the meeting to the effect that the Kadzombe committee continue with their good work and that the Afcon committee, doesn’t handle the marketing and there is clear day light between the two.

Ndebele was told to stay clear of that coast. Not only that, there is the scandal of Warriors kit, which when The Page broke it last June, in South Africa, after that sub standard apparel, passing for a Warriors kit was used, smelt foul.

Watch what both sets of Warriors – those in Bloemfontein playing against Mauritius in the Cosafa Cup and in Morocco, will be donning and tell us what you will see.

Who supplied that kit? Well Mark Ruck, the new marketing executive at Zifa, has his hands full, as a full blown scandal is being peppered on the issue of kits.

Zifa CEO, Yvonne Manwa, is too innocent and blind to see that. By the way, has Magwizi mustered enough balls to open an inquiry into how money realized in the Zim v Benin World Cup match in Durban disappeared from custody?

Why is he not keen on that issue? What about money received from a known benefactor not declared to Zifa? Is someone already eating alone or have selected the two for a share?

As the Zifa Exco now have nowhere to hide after more 130 days in office, unhindered, check the value addition.

Now we have better national teams? Super development structure? Good referees and development programs? Fair coach?

A working secretatiat who are not panicking at the hint of skills audit soon on?

Ah and now Kudzi Chitima has managed to be educated, schooled and skilled enough to run the FA as a de facto Chief, using his Solomon Mudege FIFA card to scare Magwizi?

Manje bhora harinyepi and all election promises have been proven to be fake. Football is real.
