State of Palestine Ambassador in Zimbabwe Dr Tamer Almassri has condemned what he called unprecedented 178 attacks by Israel on Palestine settlements within a space of 48 hours.
Said Ambassador Almassri in a statement:
“The unprecedented wave of state and settler terrorism in the West Bank, marked by over 178 Israeli settlers and Israel occupation forces’ raids on Palestine Villages within a span of just 48 hours.
Israeli state-backed settler terrorism is intensifying into systematic pogroms across the occupied West Bank. Large areas of the occupied West Bank witnessed simultaneous escalations on the evening of Saturday and into the early hours of Sunday, 26 July 2026.
“The developments included Israeli military incursions, house raids, arrests, live fire, and the use of tear gas. At the same time, Israeli terrorist settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian homes and mosques, set vehicles ablaze, assaulted Palestinian civilians, blocked ambulances, and closed major roads in dozens of Palestinian villages across the West Bank under the protection of Israeli occupation forces,” he said.
Ambassador Almassri said the attacks were a broader part of the Zionist regime to provide military and political support to Israeli settler terrorists.
“These crimes are not isolated incidents, but are part of an official and systematic Israeli policy based on providing political and military support, as well as protection, to Israeli settler terrorists. The continued impunity gives the occupation forces and the occupiers a green light to continue their crimes in order to displace Palestinian citizens and implement plans for annexation, ethnic cleansing, and extermination.”
Ambassador Almassri called on the international community to hold Israel accountable.
“The State of Palestine calls on governments to take practical and urgent measures, including issuing clear statements of condemnation, supporting independent international investigations, holding officials accountable for these crimes, and imposing sanctions on the Israeli colonial system and its officials.
“The Palestinian people can no longer tolerate the continuation of a policy of impunity and calls on the international community to translate its legal and moral commitments into practical and tangible steps to end the occupation, ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians, and compel Israel, the occupying power, to respect international law and international legitimacy resolutions,” he said.
