The prominent sangoma from Glendale in Zimbabwe Sekuru Nyangataya ni born Peter Chingudzi thrilled Mocambicans on their independence day after taking Zimbabwean artistes in the neighbouring country.

Nyangatayani who was invited by Member of Parliament for Magoe district Carlos Momande in Magoe did not disappoint.

He took with him Sungura queen Wasu Dacoda, Chipo Muchegwa,Boom Beto junior Hwinza, comedian and musician Lylod “Matumbu Jack among other upcoming artistes.

Speaking to this publication the MP hailed sekuru Nyangatayani’s overwhelming support.

“We got overwhelming support from sekuru Nyangatayani who came with Zimbabwean artistes to celebrate our 50th independence,” he said.

“He is just a phone call away as he always celebrate with us this shows that we are one with Zimbabweans,” he added.

The MP was also supported by FRELIMO leadership in Magoe district among the guests were Marlen Sande Sousa and Neto Guidione Faife

Sekuru Nyangatayani praised Mocambique for their hosiptality.

“We had good time in Mocambique the people there are hospitable it did not appear as if we were in a foreign land,” Nyangatayani said.

“Our Zimbabwean artistes gave a polished performance and legions of fans were left pleased.”

The same artistes performed at Mukumbura border posts where they mesmerised fans.

He also like the peaceful relationship between Zimbabwe and Mocambique.

“Our relationship with Mocambique is peaceful so that unity is what delights me the most,” sekuru Nyangatayani added.

Meanwhile, Sekuru Nyangatayani was invited at Kanyemba border post where Zambian artiste Gas Gee and Simon Mutambi will be sharing the stage.

The show which is scheduled for July 18 is expected to mix Zambians , Mocambicans and Zimbabweans due to the proximity of borders.
