A 24-YEAR-OLD Mount Darwin man was slapped with a thirty year jail term for raping two grade two pupils in the Bush.
Peter Kambamura was convicted of two counts of rape by a Bindura regional magistrate on Friday.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo told the court that on January 26, Kambamura saw two minor girls in the Bushy area of Mount Darwin who were picking wild fruits and pounced on them.He threatened to kill them before raping both of them.
The matter came to light when one of the victim’s mother saw a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) on her private parts and quizzed her.
She told her mother about the rape and her friend also revealed her case too to her mother.
The cases were reported to the police leading to the arrest of Kambamura.
