A 31-YEAR-OLD Mazowe man was sentenced to 20 years after he raped his five year old daughter.
The convict name withheld was jailed by Bindura regional magistrate on Friday.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo told the court that on April 14 at Zuvarabuda compound, Mazowe the father was in his cabin with his three children.He chased away two and remained with the complainant whom he ordered to remove her clothes.
While he was raping her, one of his children peeped inside and saw the convict raping the minor.The children teamed up and got into the house while the father was in the act.
The father chased away all the children and remained alone in the house.The chased away children went and reported the matter to their aunt, who escorted the victim to the police.
