HARARE — Braeside ZAOGA Forward in Faith Church transformed into a sea of worship last Saturday, 2 May 2026 ,as thousands gathered for the Ezekiel Guti Day Musical Concert , honoring the legacy of the late Archbishop Prof. Ezekiel H. Guti.

The event featured performances from some of Zimbabwe’s leading gospel artists, including Sebastian Magacha , who drew loud cheers with his set. For Magacha, the platform carried deep personal meaning.

“I want to thank Amai Guti and the entire Guti family for giving me this platform to minister before such a crowd. It is an honor to celebrate Baba Guti’s legacy through music. His life taught us to serve God without compromise,” he said.

Archbishop Guti, who died in 2023 at 100, founded ZAOGA Forward in Faith in 1960 and built it into a global movement with branches in over 100 countries. His ministry emphasized prayer, education, and entrepreneurship, leading to the establishment of universities, schools, and hospitals across Africa and beyond.

The concert doubled as both celebration and call to action. Amai Eunor Guti used her address to highlight the church’s concern over rising drug and substance abuse among youth.

“Drug and substance abuse is killing our future. I urge parents, churches, and leaders to stand together and protect our children. Baba Guti always said, ‘We must raise a generation that fears God,’’ she said.

The night ended with communal worship, as congregants sang songs reflecting Guti’s teachings on holiness and national transformation.
