The Zimbabwe National Organisation of Associations and Residents Trust (ZNOART) has congratulated Eng. Tafadzwa Muguti on his appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works.
In a statement, ZNOART National Chairman Shalvar Chikomba described the appointment as a significant responsibility in strengthening local governance, improving service delivery and promoting community development.
“ZNOART warmly congratulates Eng. T. Muguti on his appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works. This is a well-deserved appointment and an important responsibility in advancing effective local governance, service delivery and community development,” said Chikomba.
He said ZNOART looked forward to Eng Muguti making a meaningful contribution to Zimbabwe’s development in his new role.
“On behalf of ZNOART, we wish you great success in your new role and look forward to your continued contribution to the development of Zimbabwe,” said Chikomba.
The appointment comes at a time when local authorities continue to face pressure to improve service delivery, strengthen accountability and respond effectively to the needs of residents.
ZNOART is a residents’ representative organisation that advocates for communities across Zimbabwe and engages with central and local government, local authorities and other stakeholders on issues affecting residents, including local governance, service delivery, accountability, urban development and community welfare.
The organisation has also been vocal on issues involving illegal land allocations, land barons, vending, municipal services and the enforcement of local authority regulations, calling for greater transparency, accountability and protection of residents’ interests.
Led by Chikomba, ZNOART operates under the vision, “Build For Future Generations,” with a focus on representing residents and advancing community development.
