Two Chipinge toddlers drowned and died after swimming in an water  unused pit.
Said the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP):
“The ZRP confirms a tragic incident in which two male infants, aged 5 and 6, drowned in an abandoned pit filled with rain water while swimming at Muradzikwa Village, Chipinge on 24 February.The victims, along with their 7-year-old sister, were left at home while their grandmother attended a funeral in the neighbourhood. The three children went to the nearby pit to swim, resulting in the tragic drowning of the two victims.”
Meanwhile police in Bulawayo arrested a man who was found to be in unlawful possession of 31 kgs of copper cables.

“On 23 February at around 2300 hours, Police in Bulawayo who were conducting night patrol duties arrested Hamani Qhawe Ndebele (20) for unlawful possession of copper cables. The suspect was nabbed by the police while burning the cables in a bushy area near New Lobengula. The police recovered 31.5 kg of copper cables from the suspect.”
