Hon Chamu Chiwanza who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Cernic Holdings urged women who are into business to remain focused and avoid sexual exploitation and desist from dependency syndrome.

Speaking at Cultured Republic Cocktails and Conversations network function at Denga, Highland Park in Harare last night where he was the guest speaker, Hon  Chiwanza also called on men to change their attitude towards women.

“To the women here, do not take yourselves as inferior in terms of business in comparison to men.
To the men, stop treating women entrepreneurs like subordinates. We are building the same economy.”

Do not be lured to have sexual relationships by men in exchange for capital or resources,” Hon. Chiwanza said.

” Your business is not your body. Capital comes from contracts, from banks, from government programs, and from hard work. Protect your dignity. Build networth, not dependencies.
Formalize, document, and compete on merit.”

Hon Chiwanza called on the gathering to register their businesses, keep proper records, and pursue funding through banks and government empowerment programs instead of informal arrangements.

Cocktails and Conversations is a platform where the business community meet , networking and exchange ideas on how to up the national economy which is on a rebound following the advent of the Second Republic.
