The City of Harare will host its 2026 employee’s wellness funfair on Friday 22 May at Alex Sports Club.

Acting Human Capital Director,  Jabulani Duve has invited the City’s employees together with their families to attend and enjoy the fun filled event.

“We are going to have physical wellness and a number of games,”  Duve said.

He listed several social sporting disciplines expected to be played, including Wheelchair Tennis, Soccer, Netball, Volleyball, Pool, Athletics, Zumba, Darts and Chess.

Duve also indicated that besides physical wellness, participants will be given financial literacy lessons by investment experts to improve their personal wealth management.

Wellness experts from the health sector are also expected to provide free screening services and various health check-ups on employees and their families.

The funfair is expected to bring employees together to let loose and confront trending social issues such as mental health and drug abuse.

Harare’s neighbouring Councils and local corporates have also been invited to interact with employees.

Mayor Cllr Jacob Mafume is expected to attend as Guest of Honour, in order to touch base with the City’s employees in a relaxed and social setting.

The wellness funfair is an annual event organized by the City’s Human Capital Department.

This year’s edition is being held under the theme, “Wellness for all seasons.”

Given the City of Harare’s expansive establishment, all roads lead to Alex Sports Club on Friday.
