Harare’s music scene is buzzing as veteran artist Giant Tagarisa releases Ndipe Rudo, Chiremba Wenhamo, and Tiyambutse.
He says, “Music should not divert from being an agent for social, economic and cultural realities whose meaning should be expressed through audio‑visuals.” He adds, “Fusing audio‑visuals using modern digital platforms is premised on our quest to be non‑discriminatory, but prioritize inclusivity to cater for audiences with diverse backgrounds, geography or age groups.”
Ndipe Rudo’s trending video has earned fans’ praise for its emotional depth, while Chiremba Wenhamo offers an uplifting anthem about beating poverty through hard work, and Tiyambutse calls for spiritual salvation and liberation.
Producer Maselo PaBeat notes, “Tagarisa’s music has gained significant traction across digital platforms, resonating with diverse audiences,” and emphasizes that it “adheres to the ‘I am because we are’ principle, a mechanism for tolerance and co‑existence.”
Fans are flooding social media with admiration for the fresh sound and powerful messages.
