The above is one popular quote from Zanu PF stalwart and Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution minister Ezra Chadzamira.
A hands on and development oriented politician, Chadzamira has been instrumental in the development of the province and uplifting the welfare of its citizens.
Chadzamira is an epitome of hard work and Zanu PF loyalty driven by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 of an upper middle economy which leaves no one and no place behind.
The Masvingo minister has been recognized for his achievements and was awarded Best Overall Performance at the Performance Contracts Signing and Awards Ceremony for Ministers and Heads of Public Agencies held at State House.
A visionary himself Chadzamira has spearheaded development initiatives in Masvingo including overseeing rehabilitation of irrigation schemes, road rehabilitation, revival of agriculture in the province with a target to put 60 000 hectares under irrigation and a boost in wheat production. Indeed as a leader who lead by example Chadzamira has grown a thriving winter wheat crop using modern irrigation at his 120 hectares Cresta Ibeka Farm.
The Masvingo leader has also presided over infrastructure development in Masvingo which has seen water supply increasing from 8 million to 10 million litres a day.
He has also championed healthcare in the province and among notable developments include a 160 kilowatt solar power system installed at Tongogara Soti.
In the education sector Chadzamira has encouraged students at tertiary institutions such as Great Zimbabwe University and Masvingo Polytechnic College among others to drive innovation and research as well as establishing industrial parks.
Chadzamira said his goal as Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution minister is to make sure that every corner of Masvingo is developed.
“Masvingo should take the lead in development and as l have said before devolution and development should take precedence over politics,”he said.
“And the vision 2030 championed by his Excellency President ED Mnangagwa is not a pipe dream, it is a goal within our reach.”
President Mnangagwa has made it clear that under his administration there is no room for complacency and Chadzamira has adhered to this clarion call and raised his head high to serve not only Masvingo but his country with a devoted heart.
