The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has summoned Yadah Football Club and its official, Spencer Muvadi, to appear before the league’s Disciplinary Committee following the alleged assault of goalkeeper Godknows Gurure.

The incident is said to have occurred in the changing rooms after Yadah’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture against Ngezi Platinum Stars at Heart Stadium on Friday, 22 August 2025.
PSL spokesperson Kudzai Bare confirmed the development, saying Yadah face charges of assault and violent conduct arising from the actions of club officials and sponsors towards their own player after the match. She added:

“Mr Spencer Muvadi’s charges include invasion of dressing rooms, assault and violent conduct towards Yadah FC goalkeeper Godknows Gurure and for conduct which is considered ungentlemanly, or improper behaviour likely to bring the game into disrepute.”
The disciplinary hearings are scheduled to take place at the PSL offices on Thursday, 11 September 2025, at 5:30 PM.
