Influential American hip-hop mogul Jay-Z inspired world financial literacy tour will arrive in Zimbabwe this Thursday as part of efforts to impart financial literacy skills to underserved communities particularly school children, The Blast has learnt.
Renowned American international author and universal activist Blonka Mack will spearhead the tour on financial literacy aimed at empowering underserved communities particularly school children with essential financial literacy skills.
The tour dubbed Blonka Movement 4:44 financial literacy world tour is inspired by Jay-Z’s critically acclaimed album 4:44.
Jay-Z’s entertainment powerhouse, Roc Nation is backing the tour which will see underserved communities especially school children provided with tools for financial empowerment and economic advancement.
In a statement Mack said the tour would inspire and change the lives of many Zimbabweans.
“This world tour will inspire millions and shine a light on Zimbabwe,”she said.
“We advocate heavily for underserved communities and educating our people so we don’t have to learn through a trial and error like a lot of us had to.
“We are here to teach you about credit, how to leverage it, how to break generational curses, and how to get six-figure lines of credit from the bank, something that is not always taught in our households.”
The Blonka Movement 4:44 financial literacy world tour began the in the United States in New Orleans, New York and Ohio and has since transformed into an international mission.
Mack’s acclaimed book called, Book of Keyz Part 1: A College Readiness BluePrint, which addresses financial literacy, mental wellness, nutrition, generational wealth and the trillion dollar buying power of the black community has seen over 20 000 copies of the book donated to students worldwide since 2020.
