GOKWE – Midlands Minister of State, Owen Ncube has warned traditional leaders, politicians and farmers not to abuse Presidential Pfumvudza and Zunde raMambo agricultural inputs along socio-political lines. Ncube said the inputs should be given freely regardless of political affiliations when he launched the program at Nembudziya Business Centre Gokwe on Monday.
“I wish to warn all those tempted to sell Pfumvudza inputs that it is illegal and will not be tolerated, inputs are given for free and no cost is attached to receiving them. The Presidential Input Support Scheme targets farmers in Communal, A1, Old resettlement, Small-Scale Commercial and Peri-Urban Areas.“One thousand beneficiaries will receive inputs that include fertilisers, sorghum seed, insecticides and maize seed under Pfumvudza and Zunde raMambo respectively,” he said.
