Masvingo city council has resolved to allocate 10 residential stands to families along Davies Mugabe Street in Runyararo West suburb who are perennially effected by floods.
Read the council statement:
“The serviced residential stands are being allocated in phases beginning with the first 10 severely affected, followed by 15 which were moderately affected and eventually 14 which were least affected.”
“This resolution aims to provide displaced families with a permanent solution to their housing challenges, allowing them to rebuild their homes and restore stability,”said council.
Council said the move was a compassionate process which gives families ample time to recover and have a sense of security.
