HARARE — The Masarira family has expressed gratitude to President Emmerson Mnangagwa and members of the public for the support shown during the burial of the late Linda Tsungirirai Masarira.
In a “Notice of Appreciation” issued on 31 May 2026, the family thanked Mnangagwa for a condolence message honouring Linda.
“We sincerely thank His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, for the condolence message honouring our daughter, the late Linda Tsungirirai Masarira. Your words from the highest office brought us comfort and dignity,” said Linda Masarira’ father.
The family also acknowledged government officials, the LEAD party, corporate partners, colleagues, friends, relatives, civic organisations, the media, and the public for prayers, love, and in-kind support from Greencroft to Glen Forest Memorial Park.
“Because of you, Linda’s burial was peaceful and dignified. Her legacy of courage, service, and standing for the voiceless lives on,” the family said.
The notice concludes with a prayer that “her soul rest in eternal peace.” It was issued by Mr. John J. Masarira the father of the late Linda Tsungirirai Masarira.
