The Rainbow Netball League (RANL) 2025 Awards Ceremony, held at Higher Achievers International School in Borrowdale, Harare yesterday was a night of celebration and dominance for Correctional Queens, who walked away with every major accolade of the season.
The Queens were crowned RANL 2025 Champions, taking home the top prize of $4,000.00 after a stellar campaign that showcased their skill, teamwork, and determination. Their success extended beyond the court as they also claimed the prestigious Float Trophy, adding another jewel to their crown.
Star shooter Tafadzwa Mawango was named Golden Hand of the Year, recognizing her accuracy and scoring brilliance that powered the team’s victories. Edina Nyamhazha earned the Best Player of the Year award for her all-round excellence, while Faith Matangaidze was honoured as Coach of the Year for her exceptional leadership and tactical mastery.
The ceremony also recognized other top-performing teams: Glow finished as first runners-up, receiving $2,500.00; Green Fuel came third with $2,000.00; Santa took fourth place with $1,500.00; and Flow Angels completed the top five with $1,000.00.
National team players Thandazile Ndhlovu and Faith Mutero were also celebrated for their outstanding contributions to the sport, representing the league with pride and excellence.
The 2025 RANL Awards marked a season of dominance for Correctional Queens, champions on the court, winners of the float trophy, and holders of every major individual honour, a true testament to their unmatched excellence in Zimbabwean netball.
