Prince Estifanos Matewos, President of the United Africa Royal Assembly has welcomed the historic reunion between King Misuzulu kaZwelithini of the Zulu Nation and King Bulelani Lobengula Khumalo of the Ndebele Kingdom, marking the restoration of ancestral ties over 200 years after the split between King Shaka and King Mzilikazi kaMashobane, which led to the Ndebele migration and establishment in Bulawayo.

The Prince highlighted that the initiative aligns with the Assembly’s vision of uniting historically connected nations and promoting cultural awareness, recalling earlier efforts facilitated by His Grace Comforter T.S. Modise, the patronage of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, and the continental initiatives championed by Muammar Gaddafi.

Prince Estifanos emphasized that traditional leadership remains essential in guiding communities, fostering reconciliation, and advancing the African Union’s Agenda 2063, demonstrating that African unity begins with reclaiming shared heritage and educating communities about their history.
