All is set for a community fun run tomorrow in Harare’s ward 41 as part of efforts to combat drug and substance abuse among youths.
According to the area’s councillor, Kudzayi Kadzombe, the Fun Run will also be part of efforts to revive family sports and promote healthy lifestyles.

“I warmly invite you and your families to join our community Fun Run on Saturday, 20th September 2025,”said Kadzombe.
” This event is a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to create positive alternatives for our youth, encouraging them to move away from drug and substance abuse.
It is part of our broader mission to revive family sports and promote healthy lifestyles, all while raising awareness for the vital cause of suicide prevention,”she said.
The councillor added that efforts will be made to protect and preserve recreational facilities in the ward.

“As your Councillor, I am deeply committed to protecting our precious recreational spaces such as Avonlea Swanlake, Bluffhill Bramble open space and many more and this run is a celebration of the active, community spirit we are building together.

“To ensure everyone can participate, I pledge to cover the subscription fee for all Ward 41 residents. Let’s lace up our shoes and take a step towards a healthier, stronger community for all our generations no one is too young or old come and enjoy the fresh morning breeze,”said Kadzombe.
