Nqobile Magwizi
Under fire Zifa presido, Nqobile Magwizi, who last week was asked by the FIFA Ethics Committee to explain the circumstances, status and veracity of the car gifts and proposal for the same, extended to the Exco and assembly, is expected to respond by this week, The Page can reveal.
Magwizi, who not only has that burden of explaining the Wicknell Chivhayo benevolence, now another tonne of coal is burning on his head, over the revelation that he fraudulently tendered his nomination for the January 25 election, stating falsely, that he obtained his five years football administration experience, at a certain Banket United FC, is a man on governance ropes, as FIFA rounds on him.
The FIFA, The Page can reveal, has a letter of complaint in respect of the January 25 election, which ushered in Magwizi into Zifa office, allegedly via sired patronage.
While the FIFA haven’t yet asked Magwizi on the election impropriety, as they’re waiting for the Ethics Committee to furnish them with further information in respect of a possible breach, on the issue of receiving or accepting gifts, as prescribed in the code of ethics, it appears the lanky boss, will have a busy autumn.
Already with the Zifa assembly unhappy with his flagrant breach of the constitution in respect of appointment of the referees committee, moving the FA HQ and changing the Zifa logo, Magwizi’s fortunes are a complicated ginger cake.
What with Warriors coach, Michael Nees, a tragicomedy carpenter, brewing shit meals with turpid energy sapping and joy killing performances.
It can only be tough for Magwizi, who to his credit is so inexperienced and ignorant about football, that matters that should ordinarily worry the knowledgeable, he can crack smiles and finger poke a beehive in winter, about it.

The Page can also reveal that Magwizi, who has realized that his CEO, Yvonne Manwa is as useless as crying alone, no longer trusts her.
But his decision to use Merry Bharu to write and type confidential letters, without knowledge of the CEO, as is happening now, is as comical as getting football advice from people with clean shaven heads, but have overgrown forests in their arm pits and pubic cage.

The Banket United lie is threatening the Exco election after it has emerged, the NRSL club, was last week approached to manufacture records, a latent admission, that none existed, prior January 25 nomination.
So how did DeMarriot, Highlanders and Eastern region, to name just three of those that nominated Magwizi, under oath, claim they knew that Magwizi once earned his stripes at Banket United?
What it legally means is those three members of Zifa whose signatures are appended on Magwizi nominations are guilty of providing false information, an offence punishable by disqualification from the process.
While Magwizi is guilty of falsification in respect of providing the nomination court with false information, those that nominated him, should too, be held accountable.
Complicity? Fraud?
So should their votes be considered? Or their assembly membership upright? Well, that and more will play out when eventually the matter is brought to bear.
But for now, it is trite to note that Twine Phiri, Marshall Gore and Phelimon Machana entered the Zifa president election under protest.
And the FIFA officials, headed by former FAM president, Walter Nyamilandu, recorded the vote under protest statement by the trio.
It is on record and Magwizi knows that, too.
They were questioning the veracity of Magwizi nomination and allegations of bribery, which now stands out like a sore thumb, as The Page revealed, some members are ready to confess to the exercise.
The Page, has a recording of incidents that involved a Magwizi bagman, who behaved like a military hitmen on a reconnaissance and espionage mission, shuttling between streets in Harare on the eve, like he understood the intricate web of football politics malfeasance.
This matter, unravelling in the background, will swallow someone into the belly of football beast.
Is Magwizi a smart guy? Is he as networked as he was telling people via his proxies?
Will they save him, when the sewer break or he will watch like he is doing as Nees is destroying anything left of our Warriors?
Or maybe a USD5million injection will stop the fall?
The Page is keen to know what Magwizi will say in his response to the FIFA Ethics Committee in respect of the gifts.
Article 21 of the Ethics Code, a FIFA Koran, in respect of gifts and donations, is very explicit on how the matter should be handled.
Magwizi explanation will inform the committee, if further action will be required.
But Banket United, a club struggling financially at the moment and for some seasons, too, might be the trigger to respecting the rulebook.
A liar’s biggest punishment, is that even his truth is rejected.
