Despite deliberately coming six months late, the PSL and ZWSL elections both scheduled for July 25, the Nqobile Magwizi Exco which has already lost support of the assembly, is messing up a constitutional process, The Page reports.

The Zifa elections, which are a process guided by the constitution in conformity with the relevant electoral code, have specifically missed the constitutional verses in the bible.

In fact, the bible has been burnt, again, under the direction of Zifa CEO, Yvonne Manwa, who had her expired contract extended to December, as Magwizi looks for a sure replacement.

But….

With just eight days to the polls, no convocation has been done. Why?

This is despite Manwa issuing out in May a complete roadmap with details and dates. The ones she put up.

Like she has done to every process in the past, she tore that roadmap, as she failed to honour just one item on the roadmap.

Manwa, deliberately allowed candidates vying for the position of chairman of PSL to submit nominations, but three of the four candidates, did not pay the USD3000 election fees to go with the nominations.

To hide that from scrutiny, under instructions from named Exco member, who has serious interest in who becomes PSL chairman, Manwa didn’t announce the names of the candidates, until well into her convenient time.

Already outside the roadmap deadlines she set.

Investigations by The Page, during which Manwa was asked to explain reasons for the delay and failure to follow even her roadmap, show that this is a deliberate ploy to expose the election to a risk of question and scrutiny.

This is meant to jeopardize the sanctity of the electoral process because any aggrieved member can rightfully question the process.

While all this is happening, one wonders where Ken Ndebele, Thomas Marambanyika and lawyer, Alice Zeure, the three self annointed Zifa Exco members, who captured the sorry Magwizi, are.

Marambanyika, who prides himself as the brains behind the constitution, is there watching his lecture or tutorial, while the electoral code is being butchered blue.

Zeure, a very poor lawyer, by any standards, is also there as a legal brain in the Exco, while Ndebele, a certified CAF instructor in administration and governance, is busy looking into governors eyes, while the process is suffering legal rape, at the hands of Manwa.

According to the Zifa roadmap, July 10, was supposed to be convocation date, which according to the constitution, should be 14 days before an elective AGM.

But this date, like all before it, were missed, which is enough to have Manwa sent packing on the spot, yet she is still there to commit further transgressions.

Instead a reminder dated 15 July was sent to ZWSL and not PSL, stating that the EGM will take place at Yadah Hotel in Waterfalls, starting at 0900hrs.

The letter, which The Page assumes is the supposed convocation lacking the ecclesiastical baptism, copiously misses details on who attends and votes on the day.

Chairperson, vice and five members should be elected on the day, but the candidates are conveniently absent.

As an afterthought, Manwa’s letter mentions that the electoral committee will conduct the election. Like really?

Helicoptered for an election they never organized? And these are lawyers, officers of our public courts?

Any election at Zifa, according to the Constitution is organized and conducted by the Electoral Committee, but this committee, like all other committees appointed by Magwizi, were elbowed out.

It is very salary for Manwa to mention that a committee that should be giving her instructions, as an ex officio, will conduct an election they’re empowered to organize but didn’t do nothing about, till the letter.

If Magwizi or Ndebele or Marambanyika or Zeure want to claim that an electoral committee organized these elections, know that they’re a leadership of liars.

This election was organized by Manwa with instructions from the above team, who have stated interests in who becomes the 10th and 11th member of the Exco.

That is why a certain Moses Mawunganidze, a DeMarriot FC chairman, has been paid to cause confusion.

He has approached Dumisani Sisale, a candidate for PSL boss to stand down in favour of Leonard Musariri, an approach that infuriated the otherwise calm FC Platinum chair.

Zifa vice, Ndebele is known supporter of Sisale candidature, but others of the kitchen cabinet are arguing that he must stand down because Chido Chizondo is poised to romp to victory as ZWSL chair.

Marambanyika and Zeure wants the candidature of Masimba Chihowa and president Magwizi has interest in Chizondo becoming the chairperson of women.

These nascent politics and interests are the ones causing problems as insiders opines that the PSL clubs want Isaiah Mpfurutsa, who some powerful Exco members, don’t want for his bravado.

With no election for the PSL vice chairman position, as Col Ken Mhlophe is the lone candidate, it is important to mention that Zifa Exco intends to mute PSL voice by influencing the election of a malleable candidate.

But this an electoral farce, well crafted by a useless Zifa CEO, whose only reason for stay in the office till December, is due to the fact that he has a lot of nudes of the new Exco.

Otherwise this election is already a shambles and is at high risk of litigation.

No matter how sharp your teeth are, they can’t bite water…
