When The Page exclusively revealed that Warriors coach Michael Nees, with two wins in eight matches, intends to visit UK to watch players, little did it appear like the issue was of propitious importance even to the Gupta-lite cartels.
An honest work of informing the public that Nees, under an arrangement not made or informed by Zifa technical committee, is to visit UK this month to watch Zimbos, who could potentially play for the national teams, has become a theatre of attack for The Page, as if he is both football and Zifa.
That a very good exercise done wrongly by wrong people must become a The Page matter, is not surprising.
It comes with the territory, that is why even lions mark theirs with urine, that sends a clear message. Only thieves do not like cameras (CCTV) in the office.
But only that The Page is too busy to give attention to football wannabes, comfortable in their WhatsApp war zones, where they have abrogated to themselves powers as five star army generals of alternative media.
The details, obtained from investigation show that Nees, is not aware that he is walking straight into a Italian Job trap of cartels, who have starred players they want observed.
The involvement of Marshall Gore and a known coach, who has over the years criticized every decision that excluded players he watched play in UK parks, reeks of open cast mine scandal.
This football nation has a very short memory.
During the Normalization Committee period, the same Gore, brought a sprinkling of British Brigade to a Malawi Invitational Tournament, in which the FA sank USD 800k, money which CEO, Yvonne Manwa is up to now, yet to reconcile and justify.
The aftermath of that was a serious sponsored campaign against then coach Norman Mapeza, who had questioned the involvement of Gore in the calling of players without his or any technical input.
Gore, even had parents of players invited to come and watch their kids, as if he was the coach. And they’re trying this on Nees.
To date this grouping of cartels with their hounds, haunt Mapeza for daring question the modus operandi in managing national teams.
Worse the absence of a proper general national teams manager, since Welly Mpandare, was also haunted out of Zifa by the same cartels, made this a paradise show for the cartels.
Give Mpandare his job back and all this madness will stop, yesterday.
Nqobile Magwizi, the Zifa president, a fairly good man, open cast and a willing donkey for the game, must keep the national team gate well guarded, not to allow anything outside the technical committee to venture.
No issues to do with Nees and national teams should be done or proposed outside the chamber of the Tafadzwa Benza chaired technical committee.
It is a recipe for disaster for the FA. Getting good players outside the gates of the FA via these cartels is not only stupid but extremely demeaning to coaches.
Surely, how can WhatsApp mystery of the laughing shadows, be the beaches of excitement to propose players when Zimbabwe has an embarrassment of riches of trained and qualified coaches, on top of a whole FA committee?
How can a grouping of crooks, who operate behind the Gothic curtains want to, again, capture national team.
And people cry Asiagate instead..what a long shot by the ignorant. Fix the leaking roof during the storm and if Zifa blinks, they’re gone for a cricket six.
Mapeza is now a public enemy for daring question the credentials of Gore, some players and reasons why some parents of players called, but never used.
Do you know that Gore, Kudzi Chitima and TD Chemy Hunidzarira ran as a consortium, a pool of players based in Europe from whom some of these young players creating huge noise, come from?
And this is the same set-up for Nees to choose from under the guise that the German mentor can not be bribed as locals.
Yet, The Page investigation showed that this is “a delayed match exercise” and the list of players is already set before the visit.
The Page will keep the names on the list out of the public until, Nees visit and subsequent call up of players, most of whom to be used during the June friendlies against possibly Morocco and Tunisia, as negotiations are ongoing.
The national team is the only business reason why the FA exist and it can not be mortgaged to anyone, Gore and his tentacled band of social media underlings, included.
The Zifa technical committee chaired by Benza has not provided any recommendation on the national teams, nor have they recommended the Secretariat to act in any manner, in respect of the project, to watch players playing in the UK.
Until then, the noise about this player or that player playing well and ready for Warriors, remains gutter discourse championed by compound chaperones.
