52 people have so far died from Malaria in the country, according to a latest report by the ministry of Health and Child Care.

” The provinces that reported the highest cases were Manicaland (1 939) and Mashonaland Central (484). Cumulative figures are 19 278 and 52 deaths.
” A total of 3 304 cases and 8 deaths were reported this week. The deaths were reported from Mutare Dist 2, Chimanimani District 1, Uzumba Marambapfungwe 1, Makonde District 1, Sanyati District 1, Mpilo Hosp 1 and Sally Mugabe 1. 321 cases were from under 5 years.”
The report added that over 5 700 cases of influenza were recorded last week.
” A total of 5 769 suspected influenza cases and 0 deaths were reported this week. The provinces that reported the highest suspected cases were Manicaland 1 987 and Mashonaland West 1 538. Cumulative figures are 40 428 suspected cases and 0 deaths.”
The surge in Measles cases is usually attributed to some apostolic religious churches which does not allow members to get hospital medication.
