Police on 22 March arrested three suspected drug peddlers at Chakohwa business centre in Chimanimani district.
Said Zimbabwe Republic Police:
” On 22 March, police in Manicaland acted on the received information and arrested Nokutenda Manana (18), Progress Sengure (20) and Humidity Chipenga (25) for unlawful possession of drugs at Mutidzawanda Village, Chakohwa, Chimanimani.
“Police recovered several sachets of crystal meth, 177 sachets of dagga and bottles of broncleer syrup from the suspects.”
On another matter, police in Chegutu arrested a suspect in connection with a murder case.
“On 22 March 2025, ZRP Chegutu arrested Vitalis Muranganwa (27) in connection with a murder case which occurred near Shanti Mall, Chegutu, on 21 March.
The suspect, along with two unidentified accomplices, allegedly attacked an unknown man accused of stealing a cellphone. The victim was later found lying on the ground with severe bruises all over his body and was rushed to Chegutu District Hospital, where he died upon admission.”
