Communities in the downstream are being urged to be on high alert of flooding, despite reduction in rainfall.
In a statement, the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) said:

“Dam levels remain on an upward trend though the rate has slowed down on account of reduced rainfall pattern in some parts of the country.
“A considerable number of dams are now full, including Tugwi-Mukosi, Mutirikwi, Zhovhe, Silalabuhwa, Amapongokwe, Gwenoro, Bubi-Lupane, Pembi, Muzhwi, Seke, Harare, Masembura, Arcadia and Mushandike. Tugwi-Mukosi and Mutirikwi, the country’s top two inland water reservoirs remain spilling, though the outflows are receding.
Communities downstream should remain on very high alert for flooding.”
Most parts of the country will experience a good harvest due to favourable rains.
