Masvingo Centre for Research, Advocacy and Development (MACRAD coordinator, Ephraim Mtombeni said:
As Masvingo Centre for Research, Advocacy and Development (MACRAD) we commend the celebration of Youth Day under the theme “Empower Youth, Secure the Future.”
He added:
“However, over the years, we’ve witnessed alarming land grabbing, often driven by mining and other large projects, which disproportionately affects youth and women.
These displacements highlight the urgent need for policies that ensure fair access and control over land, along with secure land tenure.
“Protecting the youth from these issues and secure land tenure increase productivity, reduce unemployment, and pave the way for a sustainable and equitable future.”
