Three suspected armed robbers early today, forcibly entered a business premise in Workington industrial area in Harare and got away with $9000.
Said Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP):
” Police in Harare are investigating a case of robbery which occurred on 26 January 2025 at business premise along Bristol Road , Workington , Harare.
Three unknown suspects disarmed and attacked a security guard who was on duty at the premise before gaining entry into the offices where they broke a metal safe with an iron bar and hammer. Subsequently, the suspects stole USD 9000.00 cash.
“A shoot-out ensued after a private security company rapid response team arrived at the scene. The team was overpowered by the suspects resulting in the response team’s vehicle being stolen by the suspects.
Police swiftly tracked the vehicle, leading to its recovery in Rugare, Harare.”
