Retail giant, OK Zimbabwe has dismissed reports that it is closing shop due viability problems.
In a press statement, OK Zimbabwe said though it faced some product supply challenges during the festive season, it remains committed to serve customers and contribute to economic growth.

It has come to our attention that there has been a surge of frenzied and speculative commentary on social media platforms regarding the viability and going concern status of OK Zimbabwe Limited.
“We assure all stakeholders including customers, shareholders, employees and partners that our stores are open for trading.Although the company faced intermittent product supply challenges during the festive period, we continue to serve our loyal customers and contribute to the economic growth and development of Zimbabwe.”

There have been reports that the retail giant was on the verge of closure due to viability problems caused by volatile and unpredictable exchange rate among other myriad of challenges.Last year. Food retail giant, Food World closed virtually all its branches in Harare citing a harsh economic environment.
