It was pomp fare last Friday when Deaconess Nyasha Matimbire and Apostle Ngoni Trust Chikovore of Ngoni Trust Ministries, Kempton Park, South Africa were formally married at a top notched Marooro ceremony held in Harare.
Deaconess Nyasha is daughter to Prophetess Memory Matimbire and Pastor Fred Matimbire of Daughters of Virtue Ministries and Hebron Art of Prayer International Ministries.
The Marooro ceremony was an icing on the cake and God’s fulfilment for Deaconess Nyasha who ironically was a member of DOV Singles department.
The DOV Singles department has the sole mandate of praying to God to give life time partners to the Singles and also teaches on the importance of endurance, waiting for God given partners even in difficult circumstances.
The Marooro came less than a month after DOV hosted an all night prayer for the Singles in Harare whose purpose was to encourage them to cry to God to fulfil their needs and desires.
During the Singles All Night Prayer, Prophetess Matimbire, the visionary leader of DOV steadfastly led congregates for four hours of continuously prayer. She focused on God’s plan on marriage. In attendance were Singles-male and female- seeking for God’s guidance in marriage.Parents were praying for their children’s successful marriages, among other issues touched upon.
Deaconess Nyasha’s Marooro was done in a traditional way mixed with a bit of western culture where the couple were elegantly dressed.
Nyasha wore several outfits which included brown and cream floral dress matched by a traditional South African Zulu head gear while the hubby Apostle Chikovore also wore several outfits including an elegant brown suit with a matching purple red cot.
A part of glamorous ceremony which had people turning over their heads in awe was a silver vintage car accompanied by horsemen. The couple were in the vintage car which had personalized number plates…MR and MRS TRUST.
This rare sight in local Marooros showed that the swag ceremony was not an ordinary one, for rarely do local society witness a Vintage car accompanied by horseman on a Marooro ceremony!
The marriage showed God’s true testimony of the effectiveness of DOV Singles department.
The marriage also lay bare the goodness of the Almighty who answers prayers and always lends his ear during prayers.
For Prophetess Matimbire and Pastor Fred Matimbire, the marriage came as an early Christmas present and came as a powerful testimony of God’s work especially noting that their daughter was joined into marriage matrimony to husband who is an Apostle.
An elated Prophetess Matimbire could not hide her joy:
“Every mother’s prayer.
There is no parent who wants or expects their child to bring them shame and dishonor.
May your child(ren) never shame you.
May they make you proud.
May God answer all your prayers regarding your child(ren) in Jesus name,”she wrote on her official Facebook page.
Pastor Fred Matimbire said:
“I am an overjoyed and proud father.I am so happy with my daughter’s achievement and wish the couple well in their marriage,” he said.
The newly married couple, Deaconess Nyasha and Apostle Chikovore paid gratitude to the Almighty for their blessed marriage matrimony and had this to say,
“Firstly we’d like to thank God who brought us together and we’re very grateful to our parents who brought us up in the ways of the Lord which is a very vital thing that we believe have made us to understand each other and share the same values.
“This is indeed an incredible moment not just to us but our families and the Christian community at large.
Truly God who sees in secret rewards publicly. The way people joined us in celebration both in person and social media is really amazing
We’re grateful to everyone who have shown support both in prayers and words of encouragement.
As you’ve celebrated with us, may you be celebrated as well in Jesus name!”.
The Marooro will linger long into the minds of those who witnessed the marriage matrimony-which was an early Christmas present to the Matimbires and to the DOV and Hebron ministries!
